Testing: Sol Sweeper

For testing Sol Sweeper, we conducted multiple tests to meet our metric that was set in place before constructing the product

Metric

The buoy’s battery charge will lose less than 10% over 1 hour.

The cleaning system can still function at an air temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit and 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

No pieces of the buoy fall off during launch and removal after 10 repetitions.

The buoy design is free from patent infringements.

The buoy’s electronics box can be accessed in less than 10 minutes.

The solar panel produces 80% of original output after oatmeal is applied and cleaned after one cleaning cycle.

The buoy’s battery provides 1.25 Watts for a period of 10 seconds when the battery is fully charged.

The buoy’s solar cell charges the battery 80% when the UV index is 3-6 after 5 hours of sunlight.
